Prof. Dr. Joze Balic He is professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maribor, Slovenia. He vice dean for research work, he is head of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, head of research group " Dynamic, Intelligent and Integrated Technology and Systems, member of National science board technology (Slovenian Research Agency) , vice-president of DAAAM International, Vienna (Danube Adria Association for Automation and Manufacturing). member of World academy of Materials and Manufacturing Engineering (http://www.wamme.org/) . He is the author of over 100 original scientific papers for the world's leading journals and over 200 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific conferences covering computer integrated manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing and advanced manufacturing technologies. He was invited lecturer in several international scientific conferences and at foreign universities. He is author or co-author of five scientific monographs and 15 university textbooks. He has one U.S. patent, one Germany patent, and two domestic patents. He is editor-in-chief of one international scientific journal and member of editorial board of several international journals. He was principal investigator for more than 20 research projects. He was also member of scientific board for several scientific conferences.
